It seems like the folder you have to choose the files from is only depending on th country you live in.

Verify that your notebook is WWAN-capable. The files in that location are still modulle, but won't be altered. Good news that's subjective, but On the Mobile Broadband tab, click Select Provider to display the list of listed cellular providers.
You can also obtain this information by calling your cellular provider. In both cases, the firmware is loaded but the modem is rarely recognized. Also had to disable all authentication protocols except PAP as documented on the VirginMobile support pages.

Takes forever to load the firmware then never dials the connection. Can someone point me to what does the firmware look like in windows, or whre can I find it? Are you able to help me to remove the PPA and return to the default configuration? I did install netspeed yesterday, but only rebooted today, I don't know if that is what caused it.

In the end, I had to recompile several patched modules as per the instructions on the Gobi Loader site http: After loading the LAN driver and the wireless driver, I loaded another of the drivers in the networking section of the HP page and then all of a sudden the device was recognized and went active.
